LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
The festival village is located at the Wilmington Recreation Park, located just off Springfield Rd near the center of town. Once you arrive in Wilmington, look for "Bike Fest" signage which will be located at all intersections to direct you toward the festival village.
Click here for Google Map directions or search for "Wilmington Recreation Park" on your smart phone map app or GPS device.
SCHEDULE
Click here for the general schedule for the weekend.
We've tried hard to design a festival schedule that maximizes opportunities for those that want to ride bikes until they drop, while allowing ample time for those of you on a more relaxed pace to explore the area and enjoy the live music and other activities.
We expect beautiful weather (locals are fond of saying "it's always sunny in Wilmington") but keep in mind all activities will be "rain or shine".
On Friday night most everyone heads to Hardy Road for the "Hardy Hour" group ride (shuttles not provided). Local ambassadors will be on hand to provide directions and ride suggestions. After the ride head to the Pourman's Tap House for the opening night party with live music from one of regions premiere string bands - Stinky Boots String Band , A Big Slide Brewery Tap Take Over and other fun shenanigans.
Saturday is all about the group rides (see below). Generally all the rides wrap-up by 5pm, giving you some time to recover and get ready for the concert in the park and related festivities.
Sunday features morning group rides as well as the Hardy Kids MTB Race (see below for more info about this). Sunday afternoon the action moves to the Poorman's Downhill shuttles starting at 1pm, based about 1 mile from the festival site.
